POOF DOOF SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

We love our Poof Doof family. And it’s our duty to take steps to help keep our staff members and other community members safe online whilst using social media.

For the purposes of this policy, Social Media includes all internet-based publishing technologies. Forms of Social Media include, but are not limited to, social or business networking sites (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn), video and/or photo sharing websites (e.g. YouTube, Instagram), business and personal blogs, micro-blogs (e.g. Twitter), chat rooms and forums.

This policy applies to all users of Poof Doof Social Media including staff members, our partners those who attend our events and other members of the public. If you use our Social Media, you agree that you will comply with this policy (as updated from time to time).

How do we expect you to conduct yourself when using Social Media in relation to Poof Doof?

Poof Doof expects its Social Media users to:

  • Act with and maintain a high standard of integrity;
  • Exercise fairness, inclusiveness, respect, equality, courtesy, consideration and sensitivity in dealing with other users of Poof Doof Social Media.
  • Abide by relevant social media platform terms and conditions; and
  • Act in accordance with all relevant laws.
  • Poof Doof expects its users of Social Media to ensure they do not communicate on Social Media any:

  • Confidential Information relating to any individual or organisation.
  • Material that violates the privacy or publicity rights of another party.
  • Information, (regardless of whether it is confidential or public knowledge), about any individual or organisation without their prior authorisation or approval to do so.
  • Material that is intended to (or could possibly) cause insult, offence, intimidation or humiliation to any individual or organisation including discriminatory, abusive and harassing content; and
  • Material that is defamatory or could negatively affect the image, reputation, viability or profitability of any individual or organisation.
  • What will we do to protect you on Social Media?

  • As outlined above, our community are family and we are passionate about protecting all members, including online and via Social Media.
  • From time to time, members may be attacked or their rights violated by others on our Social Media channels. We deeply appreciate that these sorts of attacks and violations are upsetting and unsettling. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to stop this conduct from happening in the first instance however if it does, we are dedicated to reacting quickly to protect the well-being and reputation of our members.
  • If you are attacked or feel like your rights have been violated on Poof Doof Social Media by another user, you should immediately screen shot the relevant content and contact us for support and refrain from responding to the attack or violation.

  • Responding without the necessary support and direction from us could result in further damage being done to your welfare or reputation. Together with the Poof Doof, a strategy will be developed to address the attack or violation, which may include blocking or deleting the user, contacting the relevant Social Media platform to take down the post or reporting the conduct to the police or other local authorities.
  • What will we do if you are found to have infringed this Social Media policy?

    If you breach this policy, we reserve the right to delete content, block you and/or delete your account. We may also report your conduct to the social media platform, police or other authorities. We reserve the right to take legal action against you if you cause any loss or damage to our owners, staff members, partners and suppliers.
